KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The National Works Agency (NWA) says repair works are to begin tomorrow on Lady Musgrave and Montrose roads in St Andrew.

In a release this afternoon, the NWA said it has signed contracts valued at just under $57 million for the projects.

Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says the work will include drainage improvement, the construction of sidewalks, the replacement of base, the removal of old asphalt and repaving.

He says approximately 800 metres of road will be targeted and the project should be completed in 12 weeks.

Shaw also says the contractor will be mobilized shortly and the public will be advised ahead of any changes in traffic flow that may become necessary as the works progresses.
