Yendi says she is awaiting her day in court in child custody battle
Former beauty queen and media personality, Yendi Phillipps, says she will not comment on her impending custody battle with her child's father noting that she is awaiting her day in court.
Following The Gleaner's story on the development today, Phillipps took to the social media site,Instagram, saying it was unfortunate that information about her application for sole custody of the child was reported.
She has asked the public to respect her privacy, especially since the court matter involves her child.
Phillipps added that she has full confidence in the justice system and is waiting to have her matter ventilated by the courts.
This week, the former beauty queen filed an application in the Supreme Court for full custody also asking the court to order her child's father, Daniel 'Chino' McGregor to pay $60,000 a month in maintenance.
She also wants him to pay half of her child's educational and medical expenses and for him to be given limited visitation rights.
No date has been set for the hearing before a judge in chambers.
