Buy local for November's eat Jamaican month

The Ministry of Agriculture is appealing to Jamaicans to make a special effort to buy local produce during the month of November.



This as the ministry renews efforts to promote the 'Grow What We Eat, Eat What We Grow' campaign.



The Ministry says a month-long series of activities are to be carried out as it aims to promote healthy eating and the agriculture sector.



The ministry says among the activities to be held to celebrate Eat Jamaican Month

are: islandwide supermarket promotions, an Eat Jamaican Expo and a Jamaica Agricultural Society-sponsored essay competition.
