Shooting death of mother and sons rocks Clarendon community

CLARENDON, Jamaica:

Residents of Bucknor in May Pen, Clarendon have expressed shock and disbelief at the shooting death of a mother and her two sons in the community this morning.




The police have identified the deceased as 44-year-old fish vendor, Kareen Brown, 21-year-old Shawn Mitchell and 17-year-old Shavion Mitchell.



The teenager is a student of Central High School in the parish.



The police say about 7 o’clock all three were inside their house when unknown assailants entered their yard and opened fire on them.



Upon hearing the explosions residents alerted the police who arrived within minutes.



The woman and her sons were found inside the house suffering from gunshot wounds.



It’s reported that the sons died at the scene while their mother succumbed to her injuries at hospital.
