NETBALL: Sunshine Girls to play Australia in opening game at Fast5

Jamaica and Australia will play the opening game at this weekend’s Fast5 Netball World Series in Auckland, New Zealand.



The game represents a tough fixture for the Sunshine Girls and takes place on Friday at 7 p.m.g Jamaica time.



The competition is confined to the top-six ranked netball countries.



All the teams will play three games on the opening day.



Jamaica’s other games on the opening day are against Malawi at 10 p.m. Jamaica time and South Africa, at midnight Jamaica time.



The Sunshine Girls have also been handed the opening fixture on the second and final day.



They will take on England on Saturday at 6 p.m. Jamaica time and then hosts and defending champions New Zealand at 10:15 Jamaica time.



Last year Jamaica placed third behind New Zealand and Australia.
