CRICKET: Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe to win Test series

Hosts Bangladesh registered a comfortable 162-run victory against Zimbabwe on today’s fifth and final day of the second Test at Khulna to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Shakib Al Hasan set up the victory for Bangladesh with match figure of 10 for 163.

Having resumed the final day on 201 for five, Bangladesh advanced to 248 for nine – an overall lead of 313 – before declaring their second innings

And needing 314 for victory, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 151 in their second innings with Hasan taking five for 44.

Hasan, who scored a century in the first innings became the third man to hit a hundred and take 10 wickets in the same match.

Final scores in the match – Bangladesh 433 and 248 for 9 declared; Zimbabwe 368 and 151.
