NATO says Russian troops entering Ukraine

NATO says it has seen Russian military equipment and Russian combat troops entering Ukraine this week.

NATO chief, Jens Stoltenberg has urged Russia to pull back its forces.

Russia's defence ministry has denied sending troops to eastern Ukraine to help pro-Russian separatists there.

More than 4,000 people have died since April when government forces moved in to put down an armed insurrection by the rebels in two regions which border Russia.

Hundreds of people have also been killed since a fragile truce was reached three months ago.
