Youth ministry employee arrested in multimillion-dollar fraud case

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The police fraud squad is investigating a multimillion-dollar fraud case discovered at the Lisa Hanna-headed Ministry of Youth And Culture.

Senior Superintendent Anthony McLaughlin told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre this morning that a police team arrested an employee linked to the fraud at the Ministry yesterday.

A youth ministry official says the man is an employee in the corporate services department of the ministry.

Our news centre understands that the fraud involves more than $5 million.
