BITU president to inevitably resign NHT board - Holness

The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader has confirmed that discussions have been had with the president of its affiliated trade union, the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU), regarding his resignation from the National Housing Trust board.



Speaking on local TV after his presentation at the JLP's 71st annual conference today, Holness says while he has not asked Senator Kavan Gayle to resign his position on the NHT board, it is inevitable that he will.



Senator Gayle, who is president of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union, was appointed to the board through the trade union.
