CAC Games: Young Reggae Boyz return to action today

Jamaica's Under-20 footballers will try to bounce back from their opening defeat at the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games later.



The young Reggae Boyz, who lost 3-1 to El Salvador in their opening Group ‘A’ game on Tuesday will now face Honduras.



The game will take place at Luis 'Pirata' Fuente Stadium, beginning at 3 p.m. Jamaica time.



Hosts Mexico and El Salvador will face off later in the day.

The football competition comprises two groups.



And the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

As a result, Jamaica will need to win today to have a realistic chance of making the semi-finals.



Mexico and El Salvador are locked on three points, while Jamaica and Honduras are without a point.



And Jamaica men’s hockey team will also take the field today.



Jamaica will play Caribbean rivals Barbados, four days after they where whipped 6-1 by Mexico.



Jamaica has so far won a medal.



Craig Brown secured the lone medal for Jamaica by winning silver in tae kwon do in the men’s under 87 kilos category.



Brown was beaten 18-2 by Cuban Rafael Alba in the gold medal match.
