HORSE RACING: Ellis, Walker for Jockeys’ Challenge in T&T

Jamaica’s jockeys Shane Ellis and Omar Walker will travel to Santa Rosa Park in Trinidad and Tobago for the UK versus Caribbean Jockeys’ Challenge on Saturday, November 29.



Ellis and Walker will team up with jockeys from Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados to compete against top English jockeys Frankie Dettori and Kieron Fallon.



The UK team will also include Jamie Spencer, Seb Sanders, Tom Queally and Jimmy Fortune.



The Caribbean team comprises Ellis and Walker as well as Brian Boodramsingh and Ronald Ali from Trinidad along with Rickey Walcott and Andy Trotman from Barbados.



Chris Armond, chief executive officer at the Arima Race Club, disclosed that the event was being held in collaboration with British promoter Jeff Lawton on the big Champions Stakes feature over 1,800 metres at Santa Rosa.
