Rain has denied any play between Jamaica Franchise and Barbados Pride on today’s opening day of the second round fixture of the WICB Professional Cricket League Four-Day competition.

Barbados Pride is hosting the game at the Windward Sports Club.

Jamaica Franchise secured a 10-run victory against Windward Islands Volcanoes in the first round; while Barbados Pride had to settle for a draw against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.

Over at the Guyana National Stadium, Guyana Jaguars electing to bat were eight for one against Windward Islands Volcanoes.

The game started late as a result of rain.

Over at Warner Park in St Kitts, the Leeward Islands Franchise, sent in to bat, were 87 for three following the lunch interval.

The batsmen at the crease are Akeem Saunders on 23 and captain Devon Thomas on four.
