26-y-o man killed in Frankfield

Published:Saturday | November 22, 2014 | 9:15 AM

Another murder has been recorded in Frankfield, Clarendon as residents renew their demands for the authorities to intensify their intervention and root out youth gangs in the community.

The police say 26-year-old Ricardo ‘Ticka’ Anderson was shot dead in his yard minutes past seven o’clock last evening.

No motive has been established for the killing.

Anderson’s death brings to four the number of people murdered in the community in recent months and continues an increasing trend of shooting and other forms of violence in the once peaceful community.

Residents have complained that inter-gang feud, involving several young men, is to be blamed for the surge in crime and violence in Frankfield.

Last month, North West Clarendon Member of Parliament Richard Azan appealed to the Clarendon police to suppress criminal gangs plaguing community.
