Contract approved for work on Old Naval hospital

The Cabinet has approved $88.2 million to rehabilitate sections of the Old Naval Hospital at Port Royal.



Work is to be done to the roof and bathroom facilities at the facility.



And Minister with responsibility for information, Senator Sandrea Falconer says the work is to be carried out over a four month period.



The rehabilitation work is a collaborative effort of the Urban Development Corporation, the Jamaica National Heritage Trust and the Tourism Enhancement Fund.



Senator Falconer says the work is part of efforts to develop museums at the Hisotoric Royal Naval Hospital and Historic Walkway project.
