The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) is urging persons to conserve on their electricity use this Christmas.

According to the PCJ persons should use the fall in oil prices on the world market to become complacent.

PCJ Group General Manager, Winston Watson, says it is important that Jamaicans use the saving from reduced oil prices wisely.

He noted that energy conservation and efficiency also helps the country to reduce its oil import bill.

Watson says the PCJ will be stepping up its energy saving campaign to promote awareness about the many energy efficiency products designed to reduce energy usage and costs.

He says the campaign will also promote alternative energy solutions.

Watson was speaking at a recent JIS Think Tank.
