Clarendon triple-murder suspect ordered remanded

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The suspect in the Bucknor triple murder Jason McLeod was ordered remanded when he appeared in the May Pen Resident Magistrate’s court yesterday on charges of murder and possession of an illegal weapon and ammunition.




McLeod was arrested and charged following the gun slaying of 44-year-old Kareen Brown and her two sons, 21-year-old Sean Mitchell and 17-year-old Shavian Mitchell on November 3 in the Bailey’s Avenue area of Bucknor, Clarendon.



He is booked to return to court on December 15 to answer to the charges against him.



Superintend Carol McKenzie of the Clarendon police says the suspect, was arrested and charged days after the triple murder.



He was accompanied to the station by his attorney following an intensified police operation to apprehend him.



A family member of the deceased says the funeral for the three will be held on Monday, December 22, at the Bethel Temple Apostolic Church in May Pen.
