Five of the six persons who were taken to the Spanish Town hospital this morning have since been transferred to a corporate area hospital where they remain in serious condition.

The six were rushed to hospital following an accident near the Vineyard Toll Plaza along the Spanish Town leg of Highway 2000 early this morning.

Five of the six persons are reportedly employees of the RJR Communication Group.

The sixth person is believed to be an associate of one of the employees.

A source at the Spanish Town hospital could only say that five were transfered and one remained at the hospital in serious condition.

The source, however, did not say which hospital in the Corporate Area the five were transfered to.

Reports are that the accident occurred about 6 a.m. while the RJR crew was travelling from an assignment in Western Jamaica.

It is reported that the vehicle skidded along the wet road surface in the vicinity of the Vineyard Toll Plaza and overturned, seriously injuring all six persons.

Jamaica Fire Brigade medics from Spanish Town were quickly on the scene and rushed the injured to the Spanish Town Hospital.

The Old Harbour police are investigating.
