St Thomas man in critical condition after attempted robbery

ST THOMAS, Jamaica:

A St Thomas man is now in critical condition in hospital after he was shot in an attempted robbery in Norris, St Thomas.




Fifty-one-year-old shopkeeper Creston Madden was at the C and D Variety Store on Monday evening in Norris when a man entered and demanded money.



Madden was shot in the abdomen after he refused to comply.



The gunman escaped, while Madden was rushed to hospital where he was admitted.



No suspects have been identified in the shooting.



The St Thomas Police are continuing their investigation.
