An investigation has been launched following the seizure on Monday of $120 million worth of cigarettes in a container at Kingston Wharves Limited.

No arrest has been made.

The Jamaica Customs Agency says the shipment, from Panama, consisted of 400 Master Cases of Cigarettes containing four million sticks of cigarettes.

It’s reported that during a routine examination of domestic import containers, officers found the 20-foot container with contents declared as paper products.

It allegedly contained three brands of cigarettes.
