Barbados joins Jamaica atop of the Carib Beer Series

Barbados joined Jamaica at the top of the standings after yesterday’s round of matches in the regional four-day Carib Beer Cricket Competition.



The teams are locked on the maximum 24 points.



Barbados beat Guyana by an innings and 57 runs before tea at Kensington Oval.



Guyana who trailed Barbados by 346 runs in the first innings, could only manage 289 against the bowling of Sulieman Benn four for 96, Dwayne Smith three for 66 and Kemar Roach two for 43.



Tonito Willett helped the Leeward Islands to complete a 34-run victory over the Windward Islands. When he claimed five wickets for 31 runs.



The Leeward Islands are now tied for third with last year’s Carib Beer Challenge Final winner Trinidad & Tobago on 12 points.
