Police host Christmas treat for west Kingston residents

Published:Thursday | December 25, 2014 | 11:12 AM

Senior Superintendent of Police Steve McGregor and his management team in the Kingston West Division yesterday held a special Christmas treat for the elderly and indigent residents in the communities across the division.

The treat featured the handing over of more than 300 bags filled with essential food staples, toiletries and nutritious items in the Denham Town, Tivoli Gardens, Rose Hall, Hannah Town and surrounding communities.

SSP McGregor expressed appreciation to members of corporate Jamaica who sponsored the event.

He notes that the elderly form the back bone of the society and foster the transmission of core values.

The commitment of the Kingston Western police was underscored by the officers personally delivering the items to the homes of the residents.
