Exercise caution on the roads – Hare reminds drivers

Published:Friday | December 26, 2014 | 12:17 PM

Director of the Road Safety Unit (RSU) Kenute Hare is reiterating his call for road users to exercise caution on the nation’s roads.

The RSU Director says men in particular need to take heed, as they account for the majority of fatalities on the island’s road network.

Hare also appealed to persons to cut their speed as they make their way across the island this holiday period.

He says 85 of the persons who have lost their lives on the roads this year, died due to speeding.

Up to Monday, some 316 persons had died in traffic crashes this year.
