KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The board of a central Jamaica-based high school has rescheduled its meeting, which was set for today to determine the fate of the acting principal who is now at the centre of a sex picture controversy.

An Education Ministry official told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that the meeting announced yesterday by the school board chairman has been rescheduled to Friday morning at 10 o'clock.

It's understood that some members could not make today's meeting because of the short notice.

The official says with schools set to reopen from the Christmas break on Monday, a decision has to be made quickly.

Telephone calls from our News Centre to the acting principal have gone unanswered.

Speaking on Nationwide Radio yesterday, the principal confirmed that he was in the pictures but added that the photos were tampered with.

It is understood that the photos were made public earlier this month, after his cell phone went missing.
