Educator's sex pic controversy goes to school board today
The board of a central Jamaica-based high school is expected to meet this morning to determine the fate of the acting principal who is now embroiled in controversy surrounding sexually explicit photos.
An Education Ministry official told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre the meeting will take place at the school starting at 10 o'clock.
The official says with schools set to reopen from the Christmas break on Monday, a decision has to be made quickly.
A meeting was called for Wednesday but had to be postponed because some members could not make it because of the short notice.
Telephone calls from our news centre to the acting principal have gone unanswered.
Speaking on Nationwide Radio on Tuesday, he confirmed that he was in the pictures but said the photos were tampered with.
It is understood that the photos were made public earlier this month, after the principal's cell phone went missing.
