Ministry of Labour and Social Security appoints new permanent secretary

Collette Roberts Risden is the new permanent secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Roberts Risden replaces veteran civil servant Alvin McIntosh, who served as permanent secretary in the ministry for more than 25 years.

She took over the post on January 1.

Roberts-Risden previously served as chief technical director in the Office of the Prime Minister.

Before that, she worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security as Director of Public Assistance and as a research fellow at the Management Institute for National Development.
