Man charged with murder of bus conductor

The Police have charged a man in relation to the murder of bus conductor Kenroy Smith, otherwise called ‘Smokey’.



Charged with murder is 52-year-old Roland Bronstorphe otherwise called ‘Keith’.



Smith, who is of a Penwood, Kingston 11 address, was killed on Wednesday, December 31, 2014.



The police say about 5:15 p.m. of New Year's Eve, Smith and Bronstorphe were involved in an argument at the Darling Street Rural Bus Park, downtown Kingston, when a knife was used to stab Smith.



The police say the bus conductor was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.



Bronstorphe is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday, January 12.
