T&T orders extradition of Suriname national to US

A Trinidad and Tobago court has ordered the extradition of Suriname national, Edmund Quincy Muntslag, to the United States where he is facing charges of conspiring with the son of Suriname President Desi Bouterse to smuggle cocaine into the country.



Dino Bouterse, was arrested in Panama last year and extradited to the United States on weapons, drugs and terrorism charges.



US authorities also allege that he tried to assist the terrorist group, Hezbollah, set up a base in Suriname.
