NDM condemns PNP councillors' comments towards St Thomas police head

Published:Monday | January 12, 2015 | 2:13 PM

The National Democratic Movement (NDM) says it strongly condemns the actions and utterances of members of the St Thomas Parish Council against the head of the St Thomas police.

In a statement, the NDM says the conduct of the councillors was disrespectful and insulting to the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The NDM is calling for the leadership of both the People’s National Party and the Jamaica Labour Party to immediately issue the sternest rebuke to their Councillors.

The party says it took note of comments by councillors about getting the head of the St Thomas police removed from office.

It says such utterances amount to political manipulation and interference.
