House leader Phillip Paulwell says the 2014-2015 parliamentary year will end on February 17 and warned his colleagues to expect a busy schedule leading up to that date.

He told members of parliament sitting yesterday for the first time since the new year, that the new legislative year will start on February 19.

Last week, Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips announced that the 2015-2016 Budget will be tabled in the House of Representatives next month.

For decades, the Budget for the new financial year has been presented in April.

Phillips also announced that for the first time the estimate of expenditure, along with the revenue estimates will be tabled simultaneously with the Budget.
