CRICKET: Rain stops play in Windies, SA match

Rain has stopped play in the opening one-day international match between the West Indies and South Africa in Durban.



When the rains came, South Africa were 279 for eight from 48.2 overs.



At sports time the rain had stopped and the umpires are scheduled to carry a field inspection at 1 o’clock.



AB de Villiers 80 and David Miller 70 top scored for the South Africans.



Andre Russell, 2 for 50 and Jerome Taylor 2 for 51 are the main wickertakers for the West Indies.
