Two Jamaicans allegedly attempting to smuggle wanted man out of Nevis arrested

News reports out of St Kitts and Nevis say a man who is wanted for murder and two Jamaicans attempting to smuggle him out of Nevis, have been apprehended and taken into police custody.



According to the West Indian News Network the men were picked up on Sunday night by police.



The two Jamaicans were allegedly trying to smuggle Alexander Diaz, of the Dominican Republic, off the island via a fishing boat to St Maarten.



Several rounds of ammunition were reportedly discharged during the operation as the vessel and its occupants managed to elude the authorities.



It is expected that charges will be laid against Diaz and the two Jamaicans, whose names were not released.
