The Government has extended the deadline for interested parties to submit their bids to take over the running of the Norman Manley International Airport.

The new Prequalification Application Submission deadline is 5 o’clock of the afternoon of February 2.

The Government launched the Request for Qualification on December 1, 2014 inviting private sector operators with proven experience in the aviation sector to participate in a tender to operate, finance, develop and maintain the airport under a long term concession agreement.

The International Finance Corporation has been appointed as Lead Advisor on the structuring and implementation of the Project.

The Development Bank of Jamaica, the GOJ’s Privatization Agency and Public Private Partnership Unit are co-advisors and Secretariat for the transaction.

The Prequalification Document can be accessed at www.nmiaopportunity.com and www.dbankjm.com.
