Couple accused of killing UWI lecturer for court June 1

The trial of the couple charged with the murder of University of the West Indies lecturer Dr Peter Vogel has been pushed back to June 1 in the Home Circuit Court.



Kevin Downer and Yanika Scott, who was employed to Vogel as a helper, were arrested and charged in 2007.



Vogel was found dead at his residence at College Commons, Mona, St Andrew on July 19, 2007.



His mouth was gagged and his feet bound.



The post-mortem revealed that Dr Vogel died from asphyxia due to strangulation.
