District Constable charged with sexual offence breaches
A District Constable attached to the Morant Bay Police Station was arrested and charged today for breaches of the Sexual Offences Act.
The District Constable, 24-year-old Phillip Thomas, was charged following a recent ruling by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
He appeared before the Morant Bay Resident Magistrate Court today where he was granted bail and was ordered to surrender his travel documents and a stop order was issued.
District Constable Thomas is scheduled to reappear in court on March 11.
