Second double murder recorded in Clarendon

The Clarendon police division has now recorded its second double murder for 2015.



This following the gun slaying Wednesday of 23-year-old Tario Nelson and 40-year-old Rohan Granderson in the Juno Crescent area of May Pen.



The latest multiple homicides, have also pushed the homicide rate in the restive police division to 11 for the Month of January … an almost 100 per cent jump when compared to the corresponding period in 2014, where just six persons were.



According to police reports, Nelson and Granderson were walking to work at shortly before 9 Friday morning, when men armed with guns pounced on them, and shot them several times.



Granderson was killed on the spot, while Nelson died at the May Pen Hospital while receiving treatment.



Just two weeks ago a lone gunman shot and killed two teenagers-Romario 'Marco' Whyte and D’Andre Broomfield in Effortville, May Pen Clarendon.



The police say they are yet to establish a motive for the killings.
