Portland prisoner on the run

A manhunt is underway for a prisoner who escaped from the Port Antonio police station on Tuesday.



He is 21-year-old David Ming, a landscaper of Windsor Forrest district, Portland who is charged with simple larceny.



Reports from the Port Antonio Police are that about six o'clock on the afternoon in question Ming, who was admitted at hospital under Police guard, asked to use the restroom.



The police say minutes later it was discovered that he had escaped.



Anyone with information that can assist the Police in recapturing this man is being asked to contact the Port Antonio Police at 993-2546, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.



The Police are also warning persons against harbouring a criminal as if found culpable they will face the full extent of the law.
