LIME Street Futsal registration begins today

Published:Friday | January 30, 2015 | 12:30 PM

Registration for the million-dollar LIME National Street Futsal Championship is set to begin today and will continue into the month of February.

During the competition that is set to begin March, more than 250 teams from 14 parishes will do battle over ten weeks.

This is to determine who will be National Futsal Champions and win more than $1 million in cash.

Futsal programmes across the world focus not only on increasing and honing football skills, but fusing opportunities for continued sports education, training, and steering individuals away from unemployment.

This year’s tournament will be comprised of four outfield players and a goalkeeper.

Teams will be playing with a smaller ball that has less bounce than a conventional football.

Starting today, teams in St Thomas will begin registering at Marville Pharmacy and Service Centre on Wharf Road in Morant Bay.
