A 36-year-old St Elizabeth shop owner on several ganja charges has been offered bail in the amount of one million dollars.

Tamar McDonald was arrested and charged on January 30 following a search of his premises.

He appeared in court yesterday and was granted bail on charges of possession of, dealing in and using premises to store ganja.

The police report that they were on patrol in the Woodlands area of the parish when they came to a shop and allegedly saw men running away.

The police say they found McDonald at the shop.

It's further reported that upon a search of the premises, they found 19 black plastic bags which contained approximately 310 pounds of ganja.
