Construction workers at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande hotel in Ocho Rios, who went on strike on Tuesday have returned to work.

The workers were protesting over monies owed to them.

General manager, Clifton Reader, confirmed that work has resumed on the property but declined to further comment.

The property is scheduled to open in March.

"Everything settled," one worker said.

It is not clear whether the two-day work stoppage will affect the scheduled opening, set for March 7.

The multi-million dollar upgrade is to place the 730-room property at five-star status and marks the first time that the Mexico-based Palace Resorts is operating a property outside of Mexico.
