Motorists enjoy smoother roads in Ocho Rios, NWA fills potholes

Published:Friday | February 6, 2015 | 1:35 PM

Most of the potholes on the streets of Ocho Rios, St Ann have been filled after more than two weeks of work by the National Works Agency (NWA).

Motorists have been enjoying a smoother passage along Milford Road, the Ocho Rios bypass, DaCosta Drive, Graham Street, and other roadways that were riddled with potholes.

The roadways deteriorated due to flood waters associated with intermittent rainfall in the resort town last year December.

Motorists and pedestrians alike who spoke with our news centre have expressed delight that the roads were finally being fixed.

However, some have expressed disappointment in the slow pace of repairs.

The NWA says it is spending $3.8 million to repair the roads.
