KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Attorney-at-law Bert Samuels says the JLP senators who were appointed following the ousting of Arthur Williams and Dr. Christopher Tufton should now resign.

According to Samuels, the Opposition Leader gave flawed advice when he asked the Governor General to remove Williams and Tufton and appoint Jamaica College Principal, Ruel Reid, and businessman, Nigel Clarke, as their replacements.

Samuels says as a result, those appointments are also flawed.

The attorney says the proper thing would be for Clarke and Reid to step aside as the flawed advice has tarnished their appointments.

Samuels also says the ousted JLP senators should consider legal redress in light of the fallout which followed their removal from the Senate.

According to Samuels, the ruling of the constitutional court has also put Holness' leadership into question.
