Falmouth Hospital management calls for report into generator failure
Richard Morais, Gleaner Writer
The management of the Falmouth Hospital has requested a report into last night's power generator failure which caused the health facility to be without electricity for almost two hours.
Falmouth and its environs were affected by a power outage and the chairman of the hospital, Reverend Devere Nugent, says the institution's standby generator failed to kick-in.
However, it is understood that no life was threatened and no surgical operation was in progress at the time.
The standby unit only became functional when service personnel were brought in to attend to it.
