UPDATE: Sean Latty leaving Flow to be Chief Operating Officer at Digicel

Digicel Jamaica has confirmed Gleaner Online reports that Sean Latty will be joining the company.



Latty the managing director of Columbus Communications Jamaica, the operators of Flow, resigned suddenly this week.



In a statement a short while ago, a Digicel spokesperson said Latty will be the Chief Operating Officer for the mobile side of the Digicel Jamaica operations.



He will have responsibility for the technical, customer care, distribution, customer experience and facilities departments.



Latty worked at Digicel from its inception in 2001 until 2013.



During that time, he held numerous senior roles across the region, including operations director for Digicel Cayman Islands, country manager for Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis and country manager for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.



"Sean is a Digicel veteran with well over a decade of solid telecoms experience and we are very excited to welcome him back into the family," said Digicel CEO Barry O’Brien.



"This is indeed a positive thing for us, as with Sean’s track record, we have no doubt that he will help to take the Jamaica mobile operation to the next level."
