Post mortems are being conducted on the bodies of the five men who were killed in a joint police/military operation in Tivoli Gardens, last week.

The men were identified as Fitzroy Daley, 23, Conrad Francis, 18, and Omar Palmer, 22, of Tivoli Gardens.

The other two are Kwesi Cunningham, 24, and Roland Mitchell, 20 year old.

International forensic Professor, Derrick Pounder has been asked to observe the procedures.

Professor Pounder was also an independent observer, for the post mortems on the four persons killed under questionable circumstances by the police in Kraal, Clarendon in 2003.

The police said the men were killed during a shoot-out.

However, residents have disputed the police report and have claimed that the men were murdered.

Prime Minister, Bruce Golding ordered a coroner’s inquest into the deaths of the men.
