The West Indies Cricket Team will be without captain Chris Gayle for the rest of the ongoing tour of South Africa.

Gayle is returning home to Jamaica, after failing to recover from a broken left thumb. He sustained the injury during the second Test match against South Africa.

The rest of the team travelled from Johannesburg to Cape Town earlier today, for the continuation of the five match limited-overs series.

The West Indies lost the first One-Day International by six wickets at Centurion yesterday.

The second match will be in Cape Town on Friday night.

All rounder Dwayne Bravo will continue as captain for the rest of the tour.
