Injured West Indies captain Chris Gayle is still in Cape Town, South Africa waiting on the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), to finalise his travel arrangements.

On Sunday, the WICB announced that Gayle would return to Jamaica after failing to recover from a broken left thumb.

He sustained the injury in the second Test match against South Africa.

Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Cricket Association, Brian Breese, said the WICB will advice the association on Gayle’s travel arrangements.

Gayle has been included in Jamaica’s 13-man squad for the Stanford 20/20 tournament.

Jamaica will begin preparation for the tournament tomorrow at Sabina Park.
