Championship Club Coventry FC has sacked its manager, Iain Dowie.

The Sky Blues are currently hovering four points above the relegation zone and the decision comes on the back of a 1-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Preston.

Dowie’s Assistants, Tim Flowers and Bob Dowie, who were part of the backroom team, have left the club.

Frankie Bunn and John Harbin have taken charge of the team, ahead of the game against Cardiff tomorrow and the FA Cup tie against West Brom on Saturday.
