Former Cash Plus boss gets more time

Former Cash Plus boss, Carlos Hill has been given an additional 14 days to vacate the premises of a townhouse in Norbrook, St Andrew.

This morning a team of security personnel turned up at the residence to evict Hill but his attorneys sought to have the Supreme Court grant an injunction to prevent the move.

Trustee in Bankruptcy Hugh Wildman said an agreement was made in Chambers at the Supreme Court today to allow Hill a few more days to remain at the premises.

However, Hill’s attorney Yvette Sterling has described the attempts to evict him from the property as premature.

Hill, his brother Bertram and Chief Financial Controller Peter Wilson were charged in April 2008 following the collapse of the alternative investment entity, and complaints by investors.

The five year old investment scheme has been in receivership since last year April.
