Newcomers to the 11-year-old Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, Lucky Strike Lounge, fÍted ambassadors to a night of gastronomical delights.

Over cocktails, Woodbridge Moscato and Merlot, the selected few chatted and laughed heartily. In between sips, everyone took the opportunity to strike up conversations in a bid to keep the party going and, of course, the drinks flowing.

Spicy pork sliders, deep-fried chicken and waffle, cod fish mac and cheeseballs, and Cuban bread pudding were the perfect complement to the refreshing atmosphere created by all present at the lyme. Evident by the empty plates and the moves for seconds, the food struck the right notes.

As the crowd disseminated, they did not leave empty-handed.
