A bike rider died this morning when he collided in a concrete culvert along the Crooked River main road in St Mary.

Dead is 38-year-old Patrick Samuels, from Crooked River in Annotto Bay in the parish.

The police report that Samuels was driving a motorcycle about 7:40 a.m. along the roadway when he lost control and collided in the culvert.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
